method warranty

Our frame warranty covers only frames purchased directly from Method or an authorised dealer.
Our frame warranty covers defective materials and/or workmanship for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase.
Our frame warranty only applies to the original owner and a proof of purchase will be required before a claim is processed.
The warranty will be void in the event of, and does not cover -
Normal wear and tear (including the results of fatigue)
Failures or malfunctions that result from abuse, misuse, modifications, neglect, abnormal use or crashes
Improper assembly or maintenance
Installation of parts or accessories that aren't originally intended for, or compatible with, the frame as sold.
Paint
Paint finishes have a warranty period of 2 years. Normal wear and tear is not covered.
Frame protection film
Our warranty on paint does not cover damage caused from the application or removal of frame protection film. We recommend waiting at least 10 days from receipt of your frame before applying frame protection film to painted finishes. Please see our FAQ page for details on application and removal.
Anodised graphics and decals
Damage to and deterioration of anodised finishes and any decals applied on top of the paint finish are not covered by our warranty.
Frame bags and accessories
Damage to and deterioration of frame finishes relating to frame bags or accessories coming into contact with the frame while in use are not covered under our warranty.
Parts and components
Parts and components are not covered by our frame warranty - the individual manufacturer warranties for each part apply.
Minimum seat post insertion
The minimum seat post insertion required on all our frames is 100mm regardless of what may be stated on the seat post.

You must first contact us and provide proof of purchase before shipping the defective frame to the Method Workshop at the following address:

You are responsible for the shipping charges associated with the repair or replacement of your frame.
Any other claims for damages that you may have incurred are excluded under this warranty.
If Method determines that the frame you purchased is defective and it is covered by our warranty, we will, at our sole discretion, repair or replace your frame at our cost with a comparable model. We will do our best to replace with an identical product but where that is not possible a comparable model will be supplied.
We reserve the right to repair and refinish where possible.
Crash replacement
Crashes happen. Although Crash damage is not covered by our warranty, we will do our best to help get you rolling again with a discounted replacement if you are the original owner and have proof of purchase. Please contact us directly for crash replacement claims.
Repairs outside of warranty/non original owners
We want to see our frames live on and on. Even if your frame is out of warranty or you have purchased one of our frames second hand and discovered a fault - please get in touch with us so we can offer a quote for repair at cost price.
